Woodlodge strengthens its presence in the container category with the latest additions to outdoor range

Woodlodge is expanding its top-performing outdoor planters’ range for 2023, to meet growing consumer demand as Britain’s favourite past-time continues to soar in popularity.  The new designs were revealed at Glee and presented retailers with on-trend and innovative containers that will appeal to both novice gardeners and experienced green fingers.

Woodlodge is renowned for refreshing up to a third of its product range each year and supplies over 2,000 garden centres across the UK.  The Gloucestershire-based company has strengthened its core gardening category by bolstering its product offering in five of its key outdoor planter brands for the year ahead.  Each of the well-loved ranges has expanded to create products that are high in demand, on-trend but also unique to the Woodlodge brand.

Heritage Garden

Heritage Garden is the flagship range from Woodlodge which is a beautiful, timeless and premium collection of products, recognised for its craftsmanship and the highest quality materials.  New to the range for 2023 are new fibreclay Regent Squares planters, complementing Woodlodge’s existing market-leading line-up of ultra-lightweight containers.  The Regent Squares are available in three on-trend-coloured glazes of white, green and black, giving them a traditional and stately appearance.  The new styles bring a touch of elegance and subtle sophistication to doorways, patios and gardens with their timeless appeal, whilst being a lightweight solution that makes gardening accessible to all.

Blossom

Visitors to Glee can also catch a  glimpse of some of the new items from the Blossom range of premium glazed terracotta garden planters. The new additions feature stunning glazes in a variety of popular colours and come in a range of different shapes.  2023 will see personality return to the garden with the new Face planters, available in brown, and white.  Each colourway comes in a family of four made up of two adults and two children, with three different expressions to bring character and inject fun into planting.

Blossom also features a new Speckle design that comes in white or green glaze with etched flowing lines making it a current piece that makes a stylish statement, whilst Islander takes inspiration from interior trends with its geometric sharp and angular lines, Aztec detailed patterns to create interest or modern inspired dashes in the earthy terracotta.

Duple is a new two-toned pot in a green and blue glaze which will add light to shady areas and provide a striking contrast against the colourful blooms, whilst Flower Ridge comes is a mix of floral patterns and geometric shapes that adds texture and warmth to an outdoor space.

Bee Kind

Bee Kind will continue to throw the spotlight on the decline of the UK’s much-loved pollinators.  The popular pottery range has been designed to encourage consumers to play a role in attracting bees to gardens, with sales from each pot sold going to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust to support them in protecting this most vital of species. The new terracotta planters showcase a refresh of the iconic bee design and are available in shades of green and white with an eye-catching glazed or unglazed base.  Also available is a butterfly design in a similar style to encourage shoppers to plant pollinator-friendly flowers

Lightweight fibreclay squares complete the new additions to the Bee Kind range.  The faux led squares and cylinders feature a golden bumblebee and are poised to raise the bar in style, raise awareness of their plight and issue a national call to action to help the country’s beneficial insects.

Chelsea Terrace

As demand for lightweight containers grows, the new designs in the Chelsea Terrace range will provide consumers with a classical feel in the garden. The faux lead containers will help first-time gardeners to create a contemporary outdoor space and retailers will appreciate the hugely appealing new line-up increasing footfall in-store. The new patterns play on the nation’s love of all things gardening with the squares featuring ornate floral, insect, grass and lion head designs.  The latest containers are statement planters for instant impact, whilst being convenient to carry or move, sturdy and robust.

William Morris

New beautiful Victorian designs will be brought to consumers’ gardens, as Woodlodge adds to its William Morris collection of planters.  Inspired by the 19th century's most celebrated designer who had a profound influence on interior design, the collection now includes new glazed fibreclay squares boasting the famous Willow Bough detailing. The lightweight containers now come in green and white with a high-quality finish, making them a stunning addition to any garden. Every planter sold will raise funds for the William Morris Gallery in London, supporting events, exhibitions and educational projects to celebrate the collection, the life and continuing influence of his work.

Michael Wooldridge, Director of Woodlodge said; “Container gardening continues the rise due to its ease and ability to complement any outside space. We are passionate about producing high-quality planters that take influence from current trends, changes in the market and consumers evolving needs.  The new additions to our most popular ranges will prove sought after with our retailer customers who will be keen to see them at the show for themselves.”

Woodlodge will be showcasing its outdoor planter range in Hall 20 at Glee. For more information on Woodlodge’s new ranges for 2023, please contact your local sales representative or visit www.woodlodge.co.uk
